Travel Zone & Pricing Information
To keep travel costs simple and transparent, travel fees are based on distance from Carlisle, PA. Local outings within 30 miles include no travel fee. Longer distances have a small, fixed charge. For trips beyond 75 miles, only the additional miles past that point are billed at $1.00 per mile (round‑trip).

Do I need binoculars?
Binoculars are helpful but not required. Loaner pairs are available. Recommendations for beginner‑friendly binoculars are available upon request.
What if it rains?
Walks continue in light rain. If conditions become unsafe—heavy rain, storms, or high winds—your walk will be rescheduled at no cost.
Are kids welcome?
Absolutely. Children are encouraged to join, and birdwatching is a great way to introduce them to nature. Walks are paced gently, and we adjust the experience to keep younger participants engaged.
What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, weather‑appropriate clothing, and water. Optional items include binoculars, a hat, sunscreen, and a light snack. Guidance is provided based on season and location.
