Join Bird Guy Tours for a guided bird walk at Hamer Woodlands at Cove Mountain, a stunning Nature Conservancy preserve overlooking the Susquehanna River. This protected stretch of the Kittatinny Ridge is one of Pennsylvania’s most important wildlife corridors, used by tens of thousands of migrating raptors each fall and home to an incredible diversity of forest birds, mammals, and seasonal visitors.
Our walk will follow portions of the preserve’s scenic trail system, where participants can enjoy views of the river, surrounding ridges, and the historic Rockville Bridge while learning about the habitats that make this landscape so ecologically significant. We’ll explore how intact forest blocks support species like ruby‑throated hummingbirds, monarch butterflies, black bear, bobcat, and nine species of bats—and why the Kittatinny Ridge is a conservation priority for climate resilience.
