About the event
About This Event
Spring migration is one of the most dynamic wildlife events in the Cumberland Valley. Join naturalist and guide Andy Dapkins for an accessible, informative session on how and why birds migrate through our region — including timing, routes, species highlights, and conservation challenges.
After the talk, we’ll head outdoors for a relaxed bird walk around the Craighead House grounds and adjacent habitat. Expect excellent opportunities to observe warblers, flycatchers, vireos, and other migrants moving through the valley in mid‑May.
This program is designed for all experience levels and is a great way to learn, connect with nature, and enjoy peak migration in a historic setting.
