About This Event
December marks the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count, a tradition that has brought bird lovers together for more than 125 years. This special event invites beginners and experienced birders alike to help document winter bird populations right here in South‑Central Pennsylvania.
This year’s walk will follow a drive‑and‑walk format, allowing us to visit several key spots within our assigned CBC sector. We’ll take short walks at each location and make brief drives between survey points, giving us the chance to cover more habitat and record a wider variety of winter birds. The pace is relaxed, and no experience is required — this event is designed to be welcoming, educational, and enjoyable for everyone.
To keep the group safe and comfortable during the driving portions, this event is limited to five participants.
