On a crisp September morning, bird lovers of all stripes gathered at Seibert Park, 2414 Cumberland Blvd in Camp Hill, PA for a free guided bird walk hosted by Bird Guy Tours. This event, part of Camp Hill’s Bird Town initiative, invited participants to explore local avian habitats, connect with fellow nature enthusiasts, and deepen their appreciation for the feathered residents of our region.
🌿 What We Saw
From the moment binoculars were raised, the walk delivered a rich tapestry of sightings. Highlights included:
Northern Flicker flashing its golden underwings
Gray Catbird serenading from the thickets
American Goldfinch dancing across the treetops
Downy Woodpecker tapping rhythmically on a snag
Carolina Chickadee flitting curiously among the branches
Each observation was logged in real time via eBird, contributing to citizen science and helping track seasonal movements across Pennsylvania.
